Felt Artist Things. 200 Million Views in five months somehow.

I don’t know how to start this without giggling, honestly.

200 million. In five months. What???

Somewhere between felting tiny wool creatures with what I can only describe as emotional support energy, and uploading them as GIFs “just to see,” things… went somewhere. Fast.

Yes, FluffyHeartFelts on GIPHY just hit 200,000,000 views!!! (What is even felt artist life!)

I’ve typed that out three times now and it still hasn’t landed. That’s 200 million times one of my little felted disasters got sent, looped, seen... in conversations I’ll never be part of, between people I’ll never know. (That's 400 million eyeballs, you guys!!!)

(A “view” counts every time a GIF gets served anywhere — messages, apps, random corners of the internet — so these guys are genuinely out there living social lives without me. Fully autonomous.) Somewhere between sitting down and just saying "hehe what if," tiny faces, soft textures, real feelings, this all just happened.

And somehow that worked out. Hehe, what if.

The idea that someone, somewhere, looked at a little felted thing I made in my room and went yes, this is exactly it, dropped it in a chat, used it for giggles (or whatever). I’ll never see that moment, but I was somehow in it! Super cool.

Can we talk about five months for a second though, because that timeline is unhinged.

I didn’t even finish processing one milestone before the next one appeared. Which is very internet of it, but still. At some point you stop and just go: oh. this is its own thing now. You guys clearly love Daria DeFluff and friends more than me, and I'm all for it.

Now, here's how you can go viral too, as a felt artist, in as fast as five months.

Just kidding. There's no grand conclusion. No lessons, no framework, no “here’s what I learned about viral growth." I have no course to sell. I just wanna say... thank you. From the bottom of my human heart (and their felt ones), 200 million tiny moments of connection, thank you.

I'm probably going to stop posting about this for a bit now, else I bore you all with it. Unless we hit a billion. Okay, I will post at a billion. Heh.

Not bad for handfuls of wool and a lot of feelings.
