Schrödinger’s Love
In this very moment, I love you.
In this very moment, I love you.
I am able to love you, perfectly.

Barefoot, tiptoeing
On the edge of the moment of jumping in
To calm, raging waters
wintry and aflame.

Where the gravest arguments do not yet live
A fight over nine months,
the faucets in the sink
Vindictive hearts have none to forgive.

Or the most passionate makeup
That could only exist by being engulfed
Wholly, by momentary bitterness,
Out into blissful release and salvation.

All glows with the pristine iridescence of chemicals
Glistens with what if's and what could be's
And the specks of hazel and umber in longing stares
Convincingly feigning ignorance of it all.

In this very moment, as our lips lightly graze
Your skin sending a million tiny electric currents into mine
It’s all laughters, rainbows, and butterflies
Stars and dimensions aligning to create the perfect space.

In this very moment, I can say I love you.
Right now when it’s still safe and true.
